Have you ever had a situation where you thought to yourself, “if you would’ve just” …..
And instead you got the opposite, or pretty close to it, and wondered “what!?”
That’s called the “what you expected VS what they gave you” effect.
Now, what about going through life kind of doing what you want and getting what you expect. GOD sees us that way too(but invisibly holding our hand along the way), allowing us to “do life” and Spiritually guiding us
”Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.“
Romans 12:1-2 NIV
This is exactly what i think about as I wrote that. When we “choose” to conform to this world, we’ll get the worlds results and not His will for us. So ask yourself, who are you trying to please, the world or The Word?
Summary; Is it your way vs His will, or do as I say, not as I do?
